A nurturing environment for your little one
Our Creche is a fantastic place for your child to take his or her first steps on the educational ladder and to learn how to interact with other children in a safe, nurturing space. We believe in a holistic approach to the teaching of young children, an approach that encompasses all their needs at this crucial early stage of their development.
At Franciscan Catholic Nursery & Primary School, we understand that the first years of a child's life are formative. Our Creche programme is designed to provide a loving, stimulating environment where children can explore, learn, and grow in confidence while being introduced to Catholic values in age-appropriate ways.
Our dedicated caregivers are trained in early childhood development and are committed to providing individualized attention to each child, ensuring their physical, emotional, social, and spiritual needs are met.
We guarantee a maximum caregiver/pupil ratio of 1:8. This enables us to provide plenty of encouragement and support to your child at all times, ensuring each child receives the attention they need to thrive.
Our caregivers create a warm, loving environment where children feel secure and valued. This emotional security is the foundation for all learning and development that takes place in our Creche.
Our programme is designed to support all areas of early development: physical, cognitive, language, social-emotional, and spiritual, with activities tailored to each child's developmental stage.
Even at this young age, we begin to introduce children to Catholic values and traditions through simple prayers, songs, and stories that lay the foundation for spiritual growth.
Structured yet flexible routines for optimal development
In the Creche class, children begin to show confidence and independence as they start to explore on a whole new level using their limbs and all their senses. Each day is carefully structured to provide a balance of activities that stimulate development while maintaining the comfort of familiar routines.

Common questions about our Creche programme
Children can join our Creche programme once they are able to walk confidently, typically around 12 months of age. We accept children up to 2 years of age in this programme.
We maintain a maximum ratio of 1:8 (one caregiver to eight children) to ensure each child receives the attention and care they need. In practice, our ratios are often even lower.
Parents should provide:
All items should be clearly labeled with your child's name.
We provide nutritious snacks and lunch prepared in our school kitchen. For infants with specific dietary needs, parents may provide food from home. Nap times are scheduled after lunch, but we're flexible to accommodate individual children's needs and routines.
We work in partnership with parents on potty training when your child shows signs of readiness. Consistency between home and school is key to success. Our caregivers are experienced in supporting children through this important milestone.
We introduce faith in age-appropriate ways through simple prayers before meals and nap time, religious songs, and stories about God's love. Our approach is gentle and focused on creating a foundation of love, kindness, and gratitude.
