Our Guiding Principles

The foundation of our educational philosophy

As a Catholic school community, we remain resolute in our commitment to nurture all of our children within the context of a values-based curriculum and learning experience. This is fundamental to any curriculum changes we make over time.

Our curriculum embraces the Catholic Character Education framework. We strongly believe that we have a duty to ensure our children grow up understanding how values shape our lives and how they need to live out these values in order to become fulfilled and responsible global citizens. It is our faith and belief that give our values moral substance, and our school values have been chosen because of their distinctively Christian nature, although many are shared with those of other faiths.

Through our all-inclusive curriculum, all our children learn to balance different values, deal with controversial issues, and seek ways to live in harmony with others who have different opinions.

These values permeate not only our assemblies and lessons but, more importantly, everyday life in our school community.

Our Core Values

The pillars that guide our educational approach

Faith

We nurture a deep connection with God through Catholic teachings, daily prayer, and living by Christian principles. Faith is the foundation of our educational approach.

"Faith is taking the first step even when you don't see the whole staircase."

- Martin Luther King Jr.

Love

We foster an environment where love for God, self, and others guides all interactions. We teach children to show compassion, kindness, and respect in all relationships.

"Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud."

- 1 Corinthians 13:4

Excellence

We pursue the highest standards in academics, character, and service. We encourage students to develop their God-given talents and strive for excellence in all endeavors.

"Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters."

- Colossians 3:23

Service

We instill a spirit of service, teaching children to use their gifts and talents to help others. We provide opportunities for students to serve both within and beyond our school community.

"For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve."

- Mark 10:45

Integrity

We develop moral character through honesty, responsibility, and ethical decision-making. We teach children to do what is right, even when no one is watching.

"Whoever walks in integrity walks securely, but whoever takes crooked paths will be found out."

- Proverbs 10:9

Community

We create a supportive environment where students, teachers, and families work together. We celebrate our unity in Christ while respecting the dignity and uniqueness of each person.

"How good and pleasant it is when God's people live together in unity!"

- Psalm 133:1
Parents at School Event

Our School Community

We believe that parents are the primary educators of their children and should be centrally involved in their child's experiences and development. Effective communication means there is a two-way flow of information, knowledge, and expertise between parents and the school.

We know the importance of a happy childhood and encourage a close family atmosphere. Families are involved in the daily life of the school, and their help is appreciated whether it's on an excursion, a working bee, or helping with any of our activities.

Our Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) plays a vital role in strengthening the bond between home and school. Through regular meetings, social events, and collaborative projects, parents and teachers work together to enhance the educational experience of our students.

We encourage constructive feedback, ideas, and suggestions as they help us meet the needs of our primary customers – our learners!
